Barely four weeks after, job-seeking Ogun indigenes cannot access a job portal the state government announced it had created.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, through his Chief Press Secretary, Tunde Somorin, had on July 10 said "the job portal promised by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is finally ready."
According to Somorin, the portal, www.iseya.ng/public/, would register, on a continuous basis, unemployed youths in the state with a view to providing them jobs suitable for their trade and academic qualifications.
But the job portal has since been inaccessible to interested job seekers who have been struggling to log in and register.
A day after it was declared open for registration, there were complaints from youths that the site could not be accessed.
Reacting to this, Somorin intimated that the portal had some challenges arising from too much traffic, urging the interested applicants to check back in a few days.
However, the portal has remained inaccessible after almost a month of its creation.
As at Tuesday, August 6, the response from the homepage of the portal, www.iseya.com.ng, reads thus:
"If you were redirected to this page, it means the website is being upgraded in view of the overwhelming traffic. We apologize for any inconveniences as our engineers are currently working to resolve the problem.
"In the meantime, please drop your email and/or phone number and we will reach out to you immediately the website is back up."
